The origin of Aleppo authentic foods
Ramez and sons have been living in Ballyhaunis for over 20 years now. one thing that’s missing in Ballyhaunis is the food and spices that were brought along back from Syria every time they went on holidays.
Unfortunately now due to the war, a lot of the people in Ballyhaunis were finding it difficult to get the rare foods that come from Syria. one day Ramez took the risk and bought a pallet of different foods from abroad to share it with his relations in Ballyhaunis. pallet after pallet,
Ramez thought why not open a small shop and give it a shot.
After finding a location in Ballyhaunis in town, it was time to think of a name that means a lot to the Syrian people and also at the same time gives an idea of what our business will have to offer. Aleppo authentic foods were the best name Ramez and his family came up with. Aleppo is the name of our city in Syria and authentic is another way of putting out what our products are like in quality.
We’ve now been in business for just over 2 years and it was actually the time the first group of Syrian refugees that had come to Ballaghaderreen which helped start off the business nicely.
Our customers range from hotels, restaurants, and households nationwide.
